Nadia Nessim
Kids Ministry Coordinator
Nadia has been with Long Beach Church since she was a child, she has two kids and has been teaching children for over 10 years. She began her journey working with animals, providing petting zoos and hosting celebrations for children. She was very influential in the life of many other children who had a passion to learn and make a difference. She was also responsible to provide support for Dream Street, which is a relief program for children with chronic and life-threatening illnesses and for children with physical disabilities. The ultimate goal was to provide children with a chance to experience every season within one month, considering the rest of the year was in question.
As a child I attended Nazarene Christian School. It is here where my teachers, and family shared common faith and the sense of fellowship and created a supportive network that went beyond the classroom giving me emotional and spiritual support which was part of my holistic development. My spiritual foundation led me to teach children’s bible classes for the New Hope Christian Fellowship, and this is where I taught bible classes for children and witnessed many Muslims and Jews discover Jesus.
Going from bedside to bedside at the VA’s nursing home to visiting Veterans to brighten up their day, I am very passionate about helping and honoring our nation’s Veterans. I volunteered several years for the Department of Veterans Affairs, by greeting Veterans, delivering books and supporting the “No Veteran Dies Alone” program. I will always be passionate to engage in the faith practice of service and continually offer myself daily by contributing tangible actions for the well-being of the people we serve. For it is God who fills in the picture for all of us.
